Beating Rudy

I just beat Giuliani in an ice cream tasting contest. They had him favored to win early, but then everyone remembered that they really didn't like the guy very much, and it was all downhill from there. I heard he entered a race for town dog catcher, but the dogs rejected him 2-to-1. I guess they didn't dig what he had to say. And then there was the time they put Rudy in an a-hole competition where they kicked him out for being too much of a prick. No respect.

The great secret of Ronald Reagan that no one talks about is that he knew he was right and he, to a great extent, ignored the bleatings of the New York Times and the Washington Post. He ignored the polls. He knew what had to get done, and he did it.

Liberals hated him for his tactics, as they do Rudy.

But they loved his results, as they do with Rudy's work in NYC.

We need Rudy.

I hope the good people of Florida agree tomorrow.

Red Mind - You really might want to find out what Reagan did before writing such nonsense. Reagan raised taxes more often than he lowered them. He visited the "evil empire" and admitted that his strong rhetoric against them was misguided. And he left our budget in a shambles, supported dictators, and aided terrorists.

Don't get me wrong. I like Reagan as a person, but to suggest that he was some huge success who did what he had set out to do is simply a fiction. Oh, and Rudy is not Reagan. Reagan may have had misguided policies, but at least he meant well. Nothing of the sort can be said about Rudy. But then again, it's fairly obvious that you're just a Rudy-bot as no real Rudy fan could have taken my post seroiusly.
