Voting Woes

Just drove by my polling place with twenty minutes remaining to vote.  There will be a LOT of people who don’t get to vote today.  The line looks to be at least three times longer than when I voted, and it took me about twenty minutes to get in.  This just isn’t how a modern democracy should function.

No, if you're in line when the polls "close," you still get to vote. However, you can't get in line after that time. We saw the same thing in the northern Dallas 'burbs. Yay, democracy!

Really?? I've been misled. Not that it's so great that people have to wait an hour or two to do one of the most basic functions in democracy, but it's good to know that they've got at least a few decent provisions in helping things work.
