In fact, my big problem is that I fear she'll say whatever she needs to say to get the job. So she'll sound anti-war-ish when speaking to liberal audiences and pro-business when speaking to business people. And that's why these dopes would like her.

I thought Clinton was a decent president, but I'd rather not go through another four or eight years of this "third-way" "threading-the-needle" bullshit. Bush showed us that people want a strong leader who says what he thinks. Now we just need someone like that who actually knows what the hell he's talking about.

I'm fine with Edwards, though I'm really not concerned who gets it; with Hillary being my least favorite. Remember, even if Hillary gets it and acts Republicany as president, she'll still hire Dems in important staff and judge positions. And that's where a lot of this stuff really counts.Doctor Biobrainhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01641661532899934766noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7494384.post-9095375970276078782007-10-05T00:56:00.000-05:002007-10-05T00:56:00.000-05:00John - The problem is that ALL of the GOP frontrun...John - The problem is that ALL of the GOP frontrunners are no-gos for the Christian vote. And the reason why is that you can't be a mainstream candidate and be liked by the hardright Christian voters. And so I don't think they're going to be able to mount a strong opposition to him. While they do have big sway in primaries, I don't think they have enough sway to boost a second-tier candidate into the nomination; hence the threat of a third-party move. And I think Romney's got the big money behind him. Plus, he's the best candidate they've got.Doctor Biobrainhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01641661532899934766noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7494384.post-77679030574080772872007-10-04T23:37:00.000-05:002007-10-04T23:37:00.000-05:00Watching the bobbleheads on CNBC today, like every...Watching the bobbleheads on CNBC today, like every day (forced to at work) I have seen the shift...

They went from vilifying Hilary months ago to talking about how pro business she will be this week.

She's Lieberman. Connecticut is america. And the Repubs can smell one of their own. What is it about these fuckers that makes them love crooks?
Its almost like they cant trust anyone unless they KNOW they cant trust em. Edwards is too idealistic. He might actually want to help the poor. Cant have that shit.

Repubs will turn out in droves for one of their own. HIllary will win unless SMART people wake up to the fact that Hillary will sell us all out in a fucking heartbeat.

Edwards is the solution. Will YOU promote that solution>?

Guiliani? ha! Thompson, oh my god. Hillary IS THE REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE.Fadedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11424781470408263435noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7494384.post-47015935333739744172007-10-04T10:15:00.000-05:002007-10-04T10:15:00.000-05:00Sorry, Doc, but you're wrong Wrong WRONG about Rom...Sorry, Doc, but you're wrong Wrong WRONG about Romney. Republican primary voters are largely evangelical Christians, and they simply will NOT support a Mormon. Why? He's not Christian. Period. No Protestant denomination recognizes the LDS church as a Christian church. From my own personaly experience, the United Methodist Church, one of the most laid-back, easy-going Protestant denominations you can find, will recognize any other Christian baptism, but *insists* on re-baptizing Mormon converts. They really are that different. And as more people (especially mainline Protestants) get to know more about Romney, the more they'll dislike him.

Heck, at the big evangelical hootenanny in Dallas earlier this week, the religious leaders expressed displeasure with all the leading Republican candidates, especially Romney. Several of them went so far as to state thay there was NO WAY they would support him, due solely to his religion. It WILL be an insurmountable obstacle for him.

Pastors: GOP Shouldn't Count On UsAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
